I have stayed at Pension Belnina several times and love the place. Yutaka and Seiko are the perfect hosts always lending a hand with ski resort conditions, advising where best to ski, bus timetables, suggestions of restaurants, anything to make your stay at Belnina more pleasurable.
Breakfast in the mornings are so good, are on time and always different. Also if you are lucky enough to savour Seiko’s evening meals you will never be disappointed – fine dining at its best. Belnina also has two private Onsens to ease away the aches and pains of a hard day on the slopes.
Belnina is perfectly located in Echoland which has an abundance of different styles of restaurants and bars – also very easy for transport to all ski resorts.
I would recommend Yutaka and Seiko’s Pension Belnina to anyone looking to spend some time in Hakuba in a happy friendly family atmosphere.

I have been staying at Pension Belnina for over 4 years and won’t stay anywhere else in Hakuba Ecoland Japan.

When you are greeted at the front door by your Hosts Yutaka and Seiko you instantly feel like family. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the 2 onsens downstairs are a must after a big day snowboarding or skiing.

Seiko’s breakfast each morning is a great start to each day, made with love and always different. Each morning Yutaka will give you advice to which resort you should go to as his local knowledge of the snow is second to none.

When it is time to leave and go home to your families, its like you’re leaving your second parents behind and you can’t wait to get back next year to see them.

So do yourself a favour and go to Hakuba Japan and stay at Pension Belnina – and say Hello to Yutaka and Seiko for me.

Yutaka and Seiko are genuinely some of the most friendly, hospitable hosts you will find in any ski resort in the world. And that’s the main reason me and my family call Pension Belnina our home in the snow.

The food is amazing. The rooms are comfortable. And the location in the middle of Echoland puts you right in the heart of the nicest part of Hakuba.

Coming home to an onsen after a hard day on the snow is one of life’s absolute luxuries and the onsen @ Belnina is a real treat.

So many happy memories over the years and Yutaka & Seiko and their family are one of the key ingredients to these memories.

I stayed at Pension Belnina in January 2015 with five mates and I found Belnina to be a very comfortable place to stay with everything needed including their own private onsens.
The owners were very friendly and met any needs that I had.

The Pension is a short couple of minutes to great restaurants and a great bar / night club called the Mocking Bird. It’s also a couple of minutes walk to the buses that come regularly to take you to and from all 10-11 ski resorts in the Hakuba Valley.

If I was to travel back to Hakuba I would definitely stay at Pension Belnina.
